The hut looks new in the sleeping areas. It is very well run and the staff would give you anything you needed. As a single traveller it was great to be able to get a single room in a mountain hut. It's newly renovated and the facilities are great. Shower takes a bit longer to get warm but it wasn't an issue. The staff was very welcoming. I definitely recommend the fresh chocolate croissants for breakfast. ☹ The noice issolation wasn't great. One of the nights I was there a huge group of families with kids came and you could not escape the children noice. EXCELLENTVerified Absolutely pristine location and so remote it felt like a true get away. Switchback road to get there (and exit on the other side of the other side) with stunning views. Good food and drinks on the pub menu which was great not to have to venture out to find something else. Trust me once you arrive here you will want to settle in. Word of warning though, there was construction on the road getting off the mountain (late September 2025) and we were delayed getting to our next location. Not an issue at all for us, we just enjoyed some more hiking but worth checking ahead if you are on a timeline.Posted onVerified Location, location, location!
